Information adapted from College Confidence with ADD.
Here is a short list of some of the basic rules for college papers:
- Use quotations from articles or from your textbook to support arguments.
- Cite all direct quotations and information you take from sources—different professors prefer different styles (MLA, APA), so ask.
- Use proper sentence and paragraph structure.
- Don't misspell words.
- Use proper grammar.
- NEVER plagiarize! It's unethical and could be grounds for dismissal from the school.
